The Budget Template link above will download an Excel sheet. Some rules once you’ve downloaded it and made it your own:
Open it up quite often, even just to look at it. Daily is great but at least weekly. Consistency is key. Set a weekly reminder alarm on your phone
You need the anticipated column and the actual column. All the work happens in the actual column.
This will be your 2017 budget and you will open a new sheet for each month by clicking on sheet2 on bottom left of page, Insert, new worksheet, and then right click again to rename the month. You will insert a new page for each month as you move through the year. Copy paste previous month on new sheet. For 2018 you will start a new spreed sheet.
